Preschool Carnival

My daughter’s preschool is having a little carnival and bake sale at the school.  I volunteered to help and, somehow, I am now in charge of the layout and organization of the carnival.  There are going to be a ton of booths serving baked goods, drinks, hot dogs, hamburgers and other foods.  There are also going to be game booths for the kids.  They are even going to rent a couple of little rides for the kids.  We are not expecting a huge turnout but I think that 80 preschoolers are going to be really overwhelming.

At the next planning meeting, I’m going to bring up the idea of crowd control.  I think that we need some sort of crowd control barriers around the rides and attractions.  I’m worried about a bunch of little kids mobbing my husband at the entrance to the ball pit.  The barriers would be great at the food booths too.  I have always hated going to these things and standing around with a bunch of people in a giant clump because you have no idea who is in line for cotton candy and who is just standing around.  I figured that, with that many little kids, any kind of control that we can get will be appreciated by everyone!
