I’m so excited!  Lucy and I just discovered a new dog park in the area.  We got sick of the old one because there are so many mean dogs there that bully her.  She’s not a small dog (she’s about 50 pounds), but she’s a very gentle soul, and she loves to play but she doesn’t like to be hurt (like us all).  The other problem with mean dogs is mean owners that go along with them, and one owner, when Lucy started crying, actually told her dog “Get her!  Get her!” like a crazy person.  That was the end of that.  The new park is beautiful, it goes along the water, and while Lucy’s swimming, I can look across the way and see these huge solar power panels. 

I don’t know many facts about solar energy, but I can still appreciate the symbiosis of having a nature reserve across from a solar power farm.  It’s really a gorgeous park, and so far we’ve only met really nice dogs there, which really is key.  In addition to which, it’s a pretty long walk, so no chubby smokers go there; it’s all people who are interested in exercising with their dogs, not having your dog exercise while you just watch.
