Getting Ready for a Bodybuilding Competition
Jul 15, 2009
One of my passions in life is bodybuilding. This passion started when I was a teenage and has continued with me into my adult life. Though it isn’t my career, I take it very seriously when I am sculpting my body into a work of art.
Every year I enter a couple of local bodybuilding competitions as a way to measure my progress. I like the fact that the judges let you know what they think your strengths and weaknesses are. In that respect, it is a good learning tool for me and helps me to get an unbiased opinion on what I should work on.
But the competition isn’t just about exercising; it is about presenting a sculpted and tanned body. This means that I spend a lot of time in tanning beds, and buy a lot of bottles of tanning lotion. I only use the best suntan lotion to ensure that my tan turns out the best as possible.
With the next competition just a couple weeks away, I will be changing my diet so that my physique will be more defined. I am hoping to take first place at this one, but I know my competition, and they won’t make it easy. Wish me luck.
